We are coming to Disney World Oct. 2012!! My sister's family want to purchase the dining plan, however my sister is having weight loss surgery, will she have to purchse a full adult plan, what is offered in this type of situation?? Thanks!!

Hi, Erin! As a bariatric patient myself, I know that Walt Disney World has a great policy for us when not on the Disney Dining Plan. Your sister should bring her weight-loss surgery card issued by her doctor or hospital with her to the Walt Disney World restaurants.  She will show it to her serving Cast Member to pay the children's price for a buffet or to allow her to order off the children's menu at non-buffet meals. As for the Disney Dining Plan, I spoke with a Cast Member today and confirmed that she will have to pay the full adult price.  Because the plans discount food 30 percent already, no additional adjustments are made.  The savings to her entire party may still make it worth the cost.  Happy planning and have a Magical vacation!
