Hello! We are coming to Disney world in march with a 2 year old and a 1 year old. Do they have to have their own magic band for the use of fast pass? Or since it's two adults with the magic bands the kids are spoken for?

    Hi Mary!

Since your little ones are under 3, they do not require an admission ticket for any of the Walt Disney World theme parks.  Since they do not require a ticket, they are also not required to have their own FastPass+.  You will make your FastPass+ selections for the two adults and take the kids right in the FastPass+ queue with you.  Easy peasy!

Your children will receive MagicBands if they are listed on your Walt Disney World Resort hotel reservation, but they are not needed for park entry or FastPass+.  When my daughter was under 3, she liked to tap her MagicBand every time we did even though it didn't count.

If there are attractions that you would like to experience that the little ones cannot go on, I highly suggest you utilize the Single Rider queue (if available) or use Rider Switch.  Rider Switch allows the parents to take turns riding attractions younger Guests are not tall enough for.  The riding parent will be given a ticket to skip the line and then switches with the parent sitting out.  This is an excellent way to maximize the fun and your time on your Walt Disney World vacation.

    Have a magical day!
