We are coming to Disney world June 1st ,we have not bought our tickets yet. Is it ok to wait another week before we buy our tickets? Or is that a bad idea? We have never been and we are only coming for 1 day at the end of our 12 day vacation. So any tips?

Hello Ashley, welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! We appreciate that you have stopped by with your question! I'm so excited to hear that you will be visiting my favorite place for the first time, aren't you super excited as well?

Ashley, the sooner you buy your tickets the better. In fact, I think you should go ahead and buy them tomorrow first thing in the morning because if you're planning on visiting June 1st, you will be at exactly the 30-day mark to book your Fastpass+ selections! FastPass+ allows you to secure a spot at attractions that would otherwise have a longer wait. Popular attractions such as Seven Dwarfs Mine Train,  Space Mountain, and Splash Mountain are everyone's favorite rides and it is advisable to try and get FastPass+ selections for them.

Be sure to create a My Disney Experience account either on the Disney World website or by downloading the My Disney Experience app on your mobile device. Once you have created a profile and entered all of your information you will be able to create your FastPass+ selections for the day of your visit. By doing that, you will be relieved to know that you will be riding them at a set time that day and can focus on planning other fun activities for the day.

Let me recommend you have a character meal during your visit. Not only do they offer a great selection of food but they also allow you to spend more time meeting your favorite characters since they will stop by your table to sign your autograph book and take lots of pictures with you

Memory Maker One Day is also a very convenient product to have. Being this your very first visit, you will want to save your most magical moments for posterity. Memory Maker One Day allows unlimited downloads of all the pictures you take on that one day you will visit Walt Disney World. You will be surprised to see how many pictures can be taken on one day! Right after your Disney PhotoPass photographer scans your card to associate your media to it, it will usually take between 2-3 minutes for your pictures, video and magic shots to show on your My Disney Experience app, allowing you to share them on your social media almost instantly!

Ashley, I hope I have given you some ideas to begin your planning; please, do not hesitate to come back with more questions as the time comes closer.

    Have an amazing first trip!

Meet the Panelist: Desiree, Peru

Hi! I'm Desiree from Lima, Peru. My family will never ever tire of visiting the Most Magical Place on Earth, even if means traveling almost 3,000 miles to do so! My husband and I love to watch the fireworks with our kids, but the best magic happens when the grandparents come along and we all feel the same age in front of Cinderella Castle! I love giving tips about different types of resorts and traveling with multigenerational groups.
