We are coming to Disney World in December of 2019. What new rides will my husband be able to ride in his wheelchair with me and the kids? He is unable to transfer.

    Hi Sarah,

Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel and thank you for asking us a question! I have several friends with mobility disabilities and I’m thrilled to say that we were able to experience several attractions together, even if they couldn’t transfer out of their wheelchair or ECV.

My first recommendation would be to check the Services for Guests with Mobility Disabilities page. There, you’ll want to look for attractions that specify “May Remain in Wheelchair/ECV”. Those are the ones that you’ll definitely be able to enjoy as a family during your upcoming vacation. There are some other categories where Guests need to transfer, but your husband may still be able to ride. What you’ll need to do is speak to the Cast Member who is greeting Guests at the entrance to the attraction. They’ll be able to give you more information about the types of accommodation that will be possible for him, in light of his specific mobility issues.

If you have any questions about specific attractions, please don’t hesitate to contact Disability Services at (407) 560-2547 or email disability.services@disneyparks.com.

    Have a Magical Day,

    Lynne
