We will be coming to Disney World in December. My boys are 15 and 16. What are the don't miss things for boys this age? We are going to be here over Christmas. We are thinking of Epot on Christmas Day. Any ideas? Thanks for any tips!

Hi Shannon! My family as well will be spending Christmas at my favorite vacation destination! And we will also be spending Christmas day at Epcot with lunch at Coral Reef and finishing with an Illuminations Cruise.

With boys that age I am sure they will enjoy all the fun thrill rides in each park. Check out some of the great Disney tours that might be available for that age group. The one that comes to mind is the Wild Africa Trek in the Animal Kingdom. Your boys would love something special like that!  They might also enjoy some of the recreation activities offered. Book a fishing excursion or let them try their skills at para-sailing over Bay Lake.  Maybe water skiing is their preference or just renting the speedy little Sea Raycer boats is more to their liking. There is also horse back riding or golfing on property and you don't need to be a pro at either one to enjoy the experience.

The water parks are amazing but December can be iffy with the temperatures. So instead check out Downtown Disney for some fun. The new bowling facility is opening this fall and proves to be exciting and fun. You can add a dinner and a movie at the AMC theater before or after to make a full day. And don't forget Disney Quest is there for some interactive fun.

I think any park would be fun on Christmas Day but would probably steer clear of the Magic Kingdom since so many families will head there with the younger children. I feel Epcot is a great choice and if you have the Park Hopper option with your tickets you can always head over to Hollywood Studios via boat just outside the International Gateway entrance.

Your boys are sure to remember this holiday vacation forever!
