We are coming to Disney 11-13-11 and i was wondering what happens if you do not use all of your meals / snacks on the dining plan. We have the-1 snack, 1 quick service and 1 table service.

    Hi Jennifer,

Thanks for a great question!  It is very important to keep track of your snack, quick service, and table service credits on the Disney Dining Plan during your vacation because credits left unused by midnight on the day you check out of your Disney resort are lost forever.  We can't let that happen!

What I suggest is that you map out a rough plan for your upcoming trip.  For instance, decide where you plan to eat each day for the entire trip before you arrive.  You don't have to be too specific but try to determine if you will use two table service credits on day one and then two quick service credits on day two, etc.  Make sure your plan will use all of your credits by the time you leave.  Write that plan down and then carry that note with you on vacation.  It's ok to deviate from the plan but this will give you a rough estimate of how you plan to use your credits.

Disney makes it very easy to keep track of your Dining Plan credits.  At the bottom of every restaurant or snack kiosk receipt, you will see a listing of your remaining credits.  If you have an abundance of snack credits left on the last day of your vacation, head to the nearest gift shop and use those snack credits on packaged snacks for the ride home.

I hope you enjoy your vacation next week!  Best wishes for a trip sprinkled with extra pixie dust!
