Hi! We are coming to Disney the week of Oct. 26th through the 1st of Nov. We will be in town for Halloween!! Trying to get an idea of what we might need reservations for. I know about the character dining and halloween party.. any other tips?! :)

    Hi Adam!

Thank you for sending in your question to the Walt Disney World Moms Panel!

With regards to reservations, you should really make an Advance Dining Reservation (ADR) for any Table Service restaurant you want to dine in, not just the ones offering Disney characters.  ADRs are critical these days, especially for the restaurants in the theme parks.  While it is possible to walk up to some restaurants, especially the less popular ones in the resort hotels, you might have to eat extremely early or late.  ADRs can be made at (407) WDW-DINE or online.

You should definitely consider buying Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party tickets ahead of time if you plan on going to that party unless you plan on going after Halloween.  Halloween and the party just before Halloween are extremely busy.  The party is a lot of fun and there is a special parade and fireworks show.

Something else to consider is a fireworks cruise.  The Pirates and Pals Fireworks Voyage is relatively inexpensive and a lot of fun.  Watching the Magic Kingdom fireworks from the Seven Seas Lagoon is magical enough, but Disney also does a great job entertaining guests before and after the fireworks.  Another option is an Illuminations Fireworks Cruise to watch the Epcot nighttime spectacular.

I hope this helps!  Please write back with more questions!
