hi i am coming to Disney Friday 12/13/19 and am bringing a group of 7 we are going to Disney studios and would like to ride the rise of resistance ride. What is the best way to guarantee a boarding time?is there crazy lines?should i come early ?

Bright suns, Kelly! Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! Thank you for bringing us your question about Disney's Hollywood Studios and Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance, its most recent addition!

Last week at Disney's Hollywood Studios was certainly pretty exciting! I'm so happy you will get to experience this mind-blowing attraction so soon! Even though at this point in time, Disney's Hollywood Studios is scheduled to open at 8:00 a.m. this Friday, December 13th, you should know Park Hours might change at any moment and it is better to be prepared. I would recommend you keep checking your My Disney Experience mobile app for any updates that might be posted regarding Park times, especially the night before.

If boarding groups for Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance are still being used, I recommend you arrive very early so you can get in line as soon as possible, You and your group will only be able to join a boarding group after you have scanned your MagicBands or cards and entered the Park. Once you have joined this "virtual queue" you can go enjoy other experiences or get something to eat until it is time for you to ride the attraction.

Some of my friends report having been admitted into the Park well before the posted opening time, so if this is really important to you and your group of friends, plan on arriving very early since the Park could open well in advance; it'll be worth it in the end!

Kelly, I hope this helps! I wish you and your friends a memorable time at Walt Disney World Resort!

May the force be with you,

Meet the Panelist: Desiree, Peru

Hi! I'm Desiree from Lima, Peru. My family will never ever tire of visiting the Most Magical Place on Earth, even if means traveling almost 3,000 miles to do so! My husband and I love to watch the fireworks with our kids, but the best magic happens when the grandparents come along and we all feel the same age in front of Cinderella Castle! I love giving tips about different types of resorts and traveling with multigenerational groups.
