We are coming to Disney this fall with our kids ages 5 and 18 mos. We have the free QSDP and debating whether to upgrade to the Plus. Our main hesitation is having to adhere to a schedule with the table service meals reservations. What do you recommend?

    Hi Stephanie,

If you enjoy sitting down for at least one table service meal per day while on vacation then it is well worth upgrading to the basic Disney Dining Plan that includes one table service credit, one quick service credit, and one snack credit per person each day. You'll want to call (407) WDW-DINE right away to book your table service meals if that's the case. Planning these meals out in advance is not hard at all and I find it reassuring to have a little structure to my vacation plans at Walt Disney World.  Let us know if you need suggestions for where to dine.  Be sure to include at least one character dining experience.  I bet your kids would love interacting with the Disney characters while you dine.

If, on the other hand, your family would rather eat lighter meals and remain completely flexible with your park itinerary then the quick service plan is probably a better fit for your family at this time.  There are plenty of great quick service options in each of the parks.  Just ask if you need some guidance.  You could look at the restaurant menus at the independent fan site, www.allears.net, if you want to see what kind of food is available at these restaurants.

Good luck with your decision and have fun this fall!
