    Melissa Asked

We are coming to Disney in early November. We purchased tickets online and are staying at the Swan (but using Starwood points for a complimentary stay). Do we need Magicbands or will they send us cards that we can use for FastPass?

    Hi Melissa!

Your trip is just around the river bend!  Are you too excited to sleep already? I have a trip coming up in a few days and I am bouncing around my house like Tigger with pre-trip excitement.

If you are staying at The Walt Disney World Swan hotel you will not receive complimentary MagicBands with your stay.  Since you purchased tickets already you can use the plastic RFID enabled card you received in the mail, or that you will pick up at Will Call for your Disney FastPass+ selections.   Just as other Guests who are staying on property will tap a MagicBand, you will tap your plastic admission card at the entry points, and FastPass+ entry points.  Melissa,  you don't have to have a MagicBand unless you would like to purchase one.   You can purchase one online at the Disney Store or once you arrive at many locations on property.

Thanks for stopping by the Disney Parks Moms Panel.  Enjoy your trip and please visit us again with any other questions you may have.

    Have a Tiggerific Day,
