we are coming to disney dec 3 thru dec 9. when we booked this we were told it is low attendance. we have been there in february and it is considered extremely low. as i have been making dining reservations everything seems to be booked! what happened?

As far as avoiding crowds, you've chosen a great week to visit, Lorri.  Early December guests have the perk of enjoying low crowd levels while still having the ability to experience holiday festivities around Walt Disney World.  There are probably two factors that play into your difficulty in scoring the dining reservations you're hoping for.  The first is that some guests might be taking advantage of Disney's free dining promotion during that period and are therefore more likely to dine in the restaurants.  Your arrival date does not fall within the eligibility dates for the promotion, but guests arriving slightly earlier are eligible.  Secondly, many guests book their dining reservations up to 180 days out.  Given the fact that we're well within that time frame now, it's not terribly uncommon for many of the most popular locations to be fully booked.

I would encourage you to keep checking for those reservations; something very well may open up for you based on cancellations.  Good luck, Lorri!
