Walt Disney World Magic Kingdom Holiday

I am coming in December this year and had an extra 1 day Magic Kingdom ticket from a previous trip. I am also getting a 4 day ticket. I am wondering how best to ensure my 1 day Magic Kingdom ticket is used when I enter the park and not my 4 day ticket?

    Hi Tiffany,

I’m super excited to hear that you’ll be visiting “The Most Magical Place on Earth” this December! While any time of year is a great time to visit, December is extra special! The entire Resort will be decked out in holiday festivities, Christmas music will be playing everywhere, and my very favorite special event of the entire year, Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party, will be going on. You’re going to have such an AMAZING trip!

There have been many times where I have had multiple active tickets linked to my account, and I’d be happy to help you know what to do. You’ll simply want to visit a Cast Member at a theme park ticket window, Guest Relations location, or even at the Lobby Concierge at your Disney Resort hotel prior to using your tickets and ask them to stack your tickets appropriately within your My Disney Experience account. If the day that you’ll want to use your one-day Magic Kingdom park ticket falls in the middle of your visit, you may need to do this twice…once to have the four-day ticket given priority, then again to move your one-day ticket up to that top spot. Cast Members will be happy to help you, though, and it should just be an easy peasy stop or two for you.

Because I don’t want you to show up to the Walt Disney World Resort and be surprised in a non-magical way, I’d encourage you to check the validity of your one-day ticket ahead of time. If it was part of a multi-day ticket with an expiration date and you’ve already used all of the other days, unfortunately that one last day will no longer be valid. If, however, it’s a one-day ticket that’s never been used, you’re in luck. You’ll want to check the expiration date and if it hasn’t expired, you’re good to go. If it has already expired, Hakuna Matata…no worries, you’ll be able to apply the value of the ticket towards the purchase of a new one.

Thanks so much for visiting us at the Disney Parks Moms Panel, Tiffany, and please feel free to stop by and see us again with any other questions as you’re planning your trip. I hope that you have a truly magical vacation this December!
