Coming in 8 days....Is there public transportation from downtown disney to local supermarkets/walmart/etc. (not including taxis), also How convienent are they and how much are they about? Thanks

Hi, Steven!  The Lynx bus, which is Orlando's public transportation system, does go to two different WalMarts from the Downtown Disney area.  The bus doesn't actually go to the closest , Walmart, and the trips to either of the two WalMart stores that you'll find almost door to door transportation to will take a minimum of 35 minutes, without the wait time for the bus to arrive.  The Lynx bus costs about $2 each way.

There is a supermarket within walking distance from Downtown Disney - just about a mile.  You'll find a Gooding's supermarket in the Crossroads shopping center, just across the street from the entrance to Downtown Disney.  If you'd rather not wait on the bus, but still want to hit a supermarket, that's about the closest you'll find.

You can find more information on area bus transporation at golynx.com.

Have a great visit to Walt Disney World!
