    Devon from SC Asked

Hi! We are coming back to Walt Disney World in February. This time, we are staying at a Disney resort and then completing our week with a Disney cruise out of a Port Canaveral. Does Disney offer transportation from resort to port or free port parking?

Welcome aboard, Devon! You're taking a Disney vacation the same way my family enjoys vacationing with Mickey and his crew: a Walt Disney World Resort stay followed by an adventure at sea with Disney Cruise Line! You're in for all sorts of magical memories!

Disney Cruise Line offers ground transfers from the resorts at Walt Disney World to Port Canaveral, as well as back to the airport after your cruise, if you'd like that too! I promise you that it is the easiest way transition from land to sea and back again by letting Disney take care of all of the details! The agents at Disney Cruise Line at (800) 951-3532 can add these ground transfers to your reservation, so give them a call to set that up. Currently, the cost is $35 per person each way.

The night before you set sail, you'll receive a notice in your resort room letting you know what time the motorcoach will be at your resort to pick you up. It'll also give you a luggage pick-up time. When we've sailed, our checked luggage usually gets picked up in our resort room at about 8:00 a.m. that morning. We do not need to be in the room, as long as our bags are tagged with the Disney Cruise Line tags and ready to go. The bags will meet you in your stateroom on the ship later that day. Then, we simply keep a day bag with us so we can spend the rest of the morning exploring and enjoying the resort before our assigned motorcoach meeting time, which is usually between 11:00 and 1:00.

Then, it's off to Port Canaveral! My kids love the classic Disney cartoons that play on the screen while we drive to the port, and my husband and I battle it out over the Disney trivia on the T.V. too! Before we know it, we're coming over that last bridge and we catch the first glimpse of our Disney cruise ship!

I hope that helps as you continue planning your Land and Sea vacation with Disney, Devon!
