    Narelle from Western Australia Asked

    Coming from Australia, & have dining plan for party of 5. Do I need to book each days dining before I come - we have dining plan? We don't want kids to go hungry, plus want to see some charachters if possible - thanks!

    Narelle,

    I strongly recommend that you make advanced dining reservations for your dining plans, no matter what time of year you are visiting. My personal golden rule for dining reservations at Walt Disney World is;

    For any meal where I plan to have a table service (as opposed to counter service/fast food dining) meal, I make a reservation.

    Now if I am not 100% sure where I am going to be for a meal (i.e., what park will I be visiting that day), I try to make a reservation at a restaurants that I planned on visiting during my trip that is in an easily accessible resort (like those on the monorail line), at Downtown Disney, or those in the Epcot resort area.

    As for character meals, I try to make that a morning ritual. Character meals are, whenever possible, a breakfast affair, really kicking off the day in high style!

    I am glad to offer restaurant suggestions. Just send me another questions with information on what characters your kids really want to see, and any cuisine preferences. Also, if you let me know where you will be staying, that can help too!

    Have a magical (and delicious) vacation!
