    Mary Asked

I will be coming alone in July and plan to stay on site. Still unsure where I want to stay. I've been there 4 times in the past but always with family and friends. Any suggestions for an adult traveling alone?

Hi, Mary!  A solo trip to Walt  Disney World gives you the opportunity to really stop and smell the roses!  There's no pressure to make sure everyone is doing things they want to do; you get to choose the restaurants you want to try; and if you want to sleep in late, you can!

I still recommend that you make dining reservations for the dining experiences you really don't want to miss.  I don't know if you've ever eaten at the Biergarten at EPCOT, but that's a great place to go if you're solo!  You eat at long tables, so you'll probably be put at a table with other people, so it's a great way to mix and mingle and enjoy some dinner conversation.

I've never felt uncomfortable as a solo traveler to Walt Disney World.  When I'm dining alone, I always feel like I have just the right amount of attention from waitstaff in restaurants, and it's a great time to read some of my favorite Walt Disney World vacation planning books!

The biggest advice is to enjoy yourself!  Take advantage of single rider lines where they are available at some of the busier attractions - like Test Track.  Oh, and just remember to be careful!  I know when I travel alone, I sometimes forget to do the things my husband usually does, like checking to lock the door at bedtime or remembering to put my passes in my handbag.

    Have a great time!
