dining with Minnie at Cape May

Hi when it comes to Disney dining reservations what is the window of time you have to arrive? For example if my reservation is for 4pm when is the earliest or latest that I can arrive to honour that reservation time?

    Hi Sylvia,

Welcome back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel and thank you for asking us another question!

From what I understand, Guests have a 15 minute “grace period” to arrive at any Walt Disney World Resort restaurant dining reservation. This means that you can either arrive 15 minutes early or be 15 minutes late without risking that you may lose your reservation.

That doesn’t mean that the restaurant can’t accommodate early or late arrivals beyond that window. When my little guy was a baby, he overslept one of his naps and we were 30 minutes late for our dining reservation that night - horrifying for someone who believes in being punctual for everything! The Cast Member at the restaurant’s podium was super sweet and checked us in, anyway. I’ve also arrived extra early for reservations and been pleasantly surprised at the fact that I got seated earlier than anticipated… but some dining locations have also asked me to come back closer to my reservation time. Bottom line: I would stick to the 15 minute mark as much as possible!

Please don’t hesitate to come back and see us if you have any other questions.

    Have a Magical Day,

    Lynne
