    Mary from CA Asked

I am a college student that has moved to live in Socal and attend school. My drivers license still shows my address from back home but i reside in socal. Can my student ID be proof for socal resident tickets?

    Hi there, Mary!

Thanks so much for bringing your great question to the Disney Parks Moms Panel. How fantastic that you are attending college in the Southern California area! I would have loved to have enjoyed my college years so close to the Happiest Place on Earth.

Being a SoCal Resident comes with so many great perks. Apart from being so close to the magic of the Disneyland Resort, you also can have access to exclusive ticket discounts as well as the Disney Southern California Select Passport. To utilize these fantastic offers you must show proof of residency with a state of California issued driver's license or ID. Unfortunately your school ID will not be acceptable for obtaining these discounts. If you apply for an ID, you may also utilize your state-issued temporary ID from the Department of Motor Vehicles if you plan on visiting before you obtain your actual ID. I'm so glad you asked this question so that you can be prepared for your trips to the Disneyland Resort.

With so many exciting enhancements taking place right now, you are going to love frequent visits to both Disneyland Park and Disney California Adventure Park. I just love how there are always new fun foods, tasty treats, and cute merchandise items each time I visit. Plus, if you happen to be a Star Wars fan, this summer brings the out-of-this-world new land, Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge, which you definitely don't want to miss.

I hope this helps, and see ya real soon!
