How close can I get to the castle for FA fireworks? We enjoy an immersive, un-obstructed view of fireworks & prefer to get as close as possible "behind the rope" spot. Also, where is the closest bench/seating/ledge to castle?

Hi Maria! It's so nice to be writing a fellow Texan.

Walt Disney World Resort debuted Magic Kingdom Park's newest fireworks and nighttime spectacular, Happily Ever After, this last May. It really is an amazing sight to be seen that includes so much more than just fireworks, so you really want to make sure that you see it from the right location.

A lot of older tips that are out there on search engines and a certain inspiration board website suggest Fantasyland, which is behind Cinderella Castle, as an amazing secret and uncrowded location to view Wishes, which was the name of the fireworks program that preceded Happily Ever After.  And they weren't wrong; I've viewed them from that area and was satisfied. However you do lose a lot of the new show's elements from that area.

I'm going to suggest that the best place to view Happily Ever After is from the dead center of the hub area, just in front of the Partners Statue. Follow Main Street U.S.A. towards the Castle; the street will eventually open up to what is known as the hub, a series of sidewalks and a street all in a circular shape that will lead you to any land in direction of the entirety of Magic Kingdom. In the direct center of the hub is an amazing statue of Walt Disney and Mickey Mouse, holding hands and gazing at what they both created together. It is right in front of that statue that I would recommend to take in Happily Ever After, which is so much more than just fireworks.

Another really cool element of Happily Ever After is that Made With Magic products sync with the spectacular, so now you can glow with the show!

I hope this helped with your planning and we'll see you real soon!
