How close are the cabins at FW to each other? We’re planning a trip with my sister’s family and are wondering if the cabins are close enough to each other that our young kids would feel comfortable going between the two cabins even in the evening.

    Hello, Allison!

Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! We are delighted to answer your question regarding your upcoming Walt Disney World vacation!

OK...I have to tell you my absolute FAVORITE place to stay at Walt Disney World is the Cabins at Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort! In fact, my family has stayed here our past three visits!

The cabins are organized in loops. Inside the loops, the cabins are very close to each other. Your kids should feel very comfortable walking between your two cabins at night if they are right next door to each other. If the cabins are not next to each other, the loops are not super small. As a parent, I am not sure I would feel comfortable for my kids walking around the loop to the other cabin. While your request is not guaranteed, I would most definitely call (407) W-DISNEY and request your cabins be next to each other.

    Have a MAGICAL day!
