Hi all! For Christmas my sweet but non planner husband announced to the family that we are going to Disney for Spring Break! Our flight arrives at MCO at 12:50 and the only dinner reservation I could get for HS is at 5:10. Does anyone see a problem?

    Hello Tina!

It is a pleasure to welcome you to the Disney Parks Moms Panel!

I just love how your husband decided to surprise the whole family with the most magical gift of a Disney vacation! Get ready to make memories that you will cherish forever! March is just around the corner, and when you least expect it will be time to come visit your pal Mickey Mouse!

I really like to make a dining reservation for the day we arrive, but I usually book a restaurants in Disney Springs or at a Disney Resort hotel. I believe you will be fine to make your reservation, but I suggest going from the airport straight to the park. If you are staying at a Disney Resort hotel I think taking Disney’s Magical Express will delay you because you will have to first go to your hotel, store luggage at Bell Services and then go to Disney’s Hollywood Studios. If you are renting a car then go by car, but if you are not planning on driving take a taxi, for example, and you will probably have time to stop by your hotel to drop your luggage before hitting the park. It may seem like you have a lot of time in your hands, but in July we arrived at the airport at 6 a.m. and missed our lunch reservation at a restaurant located at Disney’s BoardWalk. Things can take a little bit of time, and when we travel with children our pace also changes.

Tina, I am so happy that you decided to reach out to us. Please do come back if you have additional questions.

    Best magical wishes,
    Thiana
