When do the Christmas decorations go up at WDW?

    Hi, Coleen!

There's no place I'd rather be than Walt Disney World Resort during the Christmas season; it is truly magical!

Christmas decorations at Walt Disney World Resort start going up right after Halloween, and most of the theme parks and Resort hotels will be completely decorated by the first Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party. The schedule for this year's Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party has not yet been posted. To give you an idea for planning purposes, last year, the first Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party was on November 8. Be sure to keep an eye on the Disney Parks Blog, which will have up-to-date information on all the holiday happenings!

Quick tip: If you visit Walt Disney World Resort during the Christmas season, be sure not to miss Holidays Around the World at Epcot, including the beautiful Candlelight Processional.

Thanks for bringing this question to the Disney Parks Moms Panel, Coleen! Please stop back with any other questions as you plan your vacation.

    Wishing you a magical day!
