Hello there, Gail! Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! Thank you for stopping by with such an excellent Walt Disney World Resort question!

Despite having stayed at many of the Disney Resort hotels on property, Disney's Port Orleans Resort - Riverside remains one of my absolute favorite Disney Resort hotels to this day! This gorgeous resort embodies the charming atmosphere of Louisiana through rustic backwoods cottages and regal mansions. One of my favorite pastimes when staying at this resort has to be strolling along the pathways that overlook the flawlessly manicured lawns of the Magnolia Bend mansions and taking in that Big Easy charm. You will also have access to such amenities as traveling by horse-drawn carriage rides, Movies Under The Stars, bike rentals, fishing, and more! You're also just a short water taxi ride away from the shopping and dining locations at Disney Springs so be sure to stop by for a day or night of fun!

If you would like to request a specific area or room for your stay at Disney's Port Orleans Resort -Riverside, I would recommend first contacting the Disney Resort Hotel Reservations phone line. A helpful Cast Member will be able to mark down your request on your reservation profile. Then, approximately a week prior to your arrival date, I would call the resort directly and verify your request. It is important to note that requests are never guaranteed, though Cast Members will try their absolute best to fulfill any requests you may have!

I hope this information helps make your Walt Disney World Resort vacation particularly magical!
