My child's a debatable 40 in tall. Where in the parks can I measure her & get a wristband or other indicator that she's 40 in for the whole trip? I don't want to keep measuring her at every ride w/ a 50/50 chance she's allowed on.

It's great to see you here today at the Disney Parks Moms Panel, Cortney! I'm so glad that we get to answer your question just as you're about to leave for your Walt Disney World Resort vacation. Now is the perfect time to tie up some of those final details, like how to navigate the height requirements for some of the more thrilling attractions your family wants to ride.

At the moment, there is not a wristband system in place for children to have their height measured one time for the length of your vacation. For your child's safety, she will need to be measured at the entrance of each attraction that has a height requirement so the Cast Members can make sure that she is tall enough to ride. They have everyone's safety in mind and will be able to make that judgment call when they measure your child to see if she meets the height requirements. It is possible that you may get different decisions at different attractions, and I understand how that can be frustrating, but the height requirements are enforced with the safety of all guests being the number one priority. Here is a list of the height requirements for each attraction at all of the Theme Parks and Water Parks, so be sure to bookmark that page or take a screenshot to have on your phone so you'll always know which attractions are appropriate for your child's height. There are still some awesome attraction that your kids will still be able to ride if they don't quite clear 40 inches, like Slinky Dog Dash at Disney's Hollywood Studios and Seven Dwarfs Mine Train at Magic Kingdom Park, both of which have a height requirement of only 38 inches!

I hope this answers your question, Cortney, and please let us know if there's anything else we can do to help you plan your magical vacation!
