We have children ranging in age from 9-18 and are looking for some fun places to eat. Wondering what anyone thinks of the Grill Restaurant in Epcot, it's hard to tell from picture on line what it may be like.

    Hi Marianne,

I believe you're asking about the Garden Grill restaurant in the Land Pavilion at Epcot. The Garden Grill is a character meal (Chip, Dale, Mickey, and Pluto) served family-style. The main "cool" factor at the Garden Grill is that the entire restaurant rotates - it moves while you're eating. If your family has never experienced this before, then I think it's well worth a visit.

I understand that dining with teens and older kids presents different issues than dining with toddlers. You may want to take a look at an article I wrote for the independent website disneyfoodblog.com called "10 Tips for Dining with Teens at Walt Disney World." I mention there that some great WDW restaurants for older kids and teens are Whispering Canyon Cafe, Teppan Edo, Sci-Fi Dine-In, and the 50s Prime Time Cafe. These are all places that have fun themeing and interactivity, but are not at all babyish. Those would be among my top "fun" restaurants.

I'm also a big fan of signature dining with older kids. I love visiting the California Grill during the fireworks and the relaxed elegance of Artist Point never fails to please.

Good luck with your planning and enjoy your visit to Walt Disney World.
