I have 7 children and live in Ohio also, and it was refreshing to see that a large family can make a disney trip affordable. I always thought it was out of reach considering my family size. So, thanks for the inspiration. Where do I start?

    Hey Angela!

A vacation to Walt Disney World is in reach as long as you plan early and wisely. Here are a few suggestions to get you started.
First, you want to decide when to go to WDW. Usually, the times with low crowd volume are the most economical times to go. Those times are typically, when the kids are in school and  between major holidays. September and late October are usually great times to visit, and you will find that the rates are lower to entice more visitors. As far as where to stay, think about what makes the most sense.
The family suites at the value resorts and moderate resorts are great but may not really be enough space, or exactly what you need. Consider booking 2 value rooms with adjoining doors. That will give your family 4 full size beds, 2 bathrooms, 2 TVs etc. Sometimes 2 value rooms are cheaper than 1 family suite. Next, what about dining? Look closely at the Disney Dining Plans. . Once you choose to utilize the dining plan, you only have to worry about gratuities and souvenirs while vacationing. Just remember to make reservations early for those special character meals, and "Voila" all of your dining is taken care of. If you are planning to visit in September or October, consider booking your vacation in January online or over the the phone at 407-939-7675. Booking early gives you plenty of time to make payments on your vacation after leaving your initial deposit. Generally, you can book within the calendar year and know that the rates are set.  You may pay at your own intervals. As long as you completely pay off you vacation 45 days prior to travel.

Try not to stress about planning keep it light and fun. Take it one item at a time and you will be fine. Don't forget to use the Mom's Panel as often as possible.
