My children will be 6 1/2, 5 and 3 when we go to Disney. We have Garden View reservations at the Contemporary. There seems to be quite a distance to the main hotel and Monorail. Is that the case? Is it worth spending another $1K to stay in the main bldg?

    Hi Arianna,

The Contemporary is a beautiful, deluxe resort, that is incredibly convenient for families with small children, who plan on spending a significant amount of time at the Magic Kingdom.  I'm guessing your family will love your resort choice!  The rooms have all been recently refurbished, and are an incredible place to call "home" on vacation!  I've stayed in a Garden View at the Contemporary, and thought getting to the monorail was completely manageable.  If you are headed over to the Magic Kingdom, I would actually recommend walking to the park via the lovely walkway that takes approximately 5-7 minutes.   While some guests prefer rooms inside the main building, I would opt to save the extra money and use it for a few extra dinners, souvenirs or extra park ticket options.

    Have a magical trip!
