    Nicole from LA Asked

Our children are getting older now, and aren't interested in every meal being a character dining experience. What are some of your favorite one credit table service restaurants? What are your favorite countries to dine in at Epcot? Thanks!

Hi, Nicole. It's the coolest thing when kids get old enough to want to try grown up restaurants. There are so many incredible non-character dining experiences.

Our go to every trip is Whispering Canyon Cafe. Located at Disney's Wilderness Lodge, there's a lot of horseplay going on at this restaurant. No, really, during some meals, kids will be encouraged to grab a hobby horse and have a race around the dining room. There is a fun atmosphere here, and you never know what might come next. Just be ready if you ask for the ketchup.

Another must do for my youngest daughter is 50s Prime Time Cafe at Disney's Hollywood Studios. Eat in mom's kitchen - well, if mom was a 1950s homemaker. You might be asked to help set the table, reminded to eat your vegetables, and have a "cousin" threaten to tattle tale on you if you put your elbows on the table. Small TVs show clips of shows that are oldies but goodies, and they have the most amazing peanut butter and jelly milkshake ever.

If your kids are at all adventurous, check out Restaurant Marrakesh at Epcot. Dine on Moroccan deliciousness while watching a belly dancer perform. Another fun Epcot experience is the Biergarten Restaurant. It's like Oktoberfest, with a delicious buffet meal, an oompah band, and lots of fun.

Have a great time and some great meals!
