I have children with food allergies, they are allergic to Eggs and Peanuts. Will we be able to get food safe for them to eat in Disney? If not, can you bring in your own food??

    Michelle:

Dining clearly sets Disney apart from other other theme parks.

You may not be aware that every counter service restaurant ("fast-food" in non-Disney-lingo) has a book behind the counter that details the ingredients in every item served.  Although peanuts can be easier to avoid as an ingredient, the book will come in handy to see if peanut oil or eggs are used.

You'll probably be even more impressed, however, at the lengths the table service restaurants will go to in order to meet your dining needs. On my last visit to Artist Point, the server asked us if we had any dining limitations before we could even bring up the subject! The chef will come out and discuss your meal with you--now that's personal dining service. I would recommend making a note on your dining reservation, also, just to help the restaurant anticipate your visit.

If you decide you'd rather just pack a lunch, feel free. Disney allows food into the parks. You might even want to consider bringing it in a smaller cooler and storing it in a rented locker.

    Wishing y'all a magical vacation!

My family of 6 appreciates Disney's value! Although Ft. Wilderness is our second home, we've enjoyed the resorts for business, reunions and romantic getaways. For me, Disney also means dining: last count, I'd eaten at 55 restaurants around the World! Learn More About Whitney
