We have 4 children, ages 4, 9, 10 and 13. When I signed up for Fastpass, I did all 6 of us at once, but my 4 year old won't be able to go on some of the rides. How can avoid wasting fastpasses, but still keep us together for most of the trip?

    Hi Cyndy,

I am also a Mother of 4 children and have encountered similar planning quandaries with my own family. Sometimes our youngest child cannot (or does not wish to) experience a ride that the other children do. In these instances we opt to use Disney's Rider Switch Service. Follow the previous link to read all about the details of how this great service works. Essentially in your case one parent may ride with the older children while the other parent waits with the non-riding child. Then later at any point in the same day, the parent who waited with the non-riding child may use the Rider Switch pass to board the attraction without having to use the standby queue. Usually Guests are instructed to use the FastPass+ queue when they return with their Rider Switch pass. Be sure to read the details on the Rider Switch ticket that you receive from the Cast Member. On my recent visit the Rider Switch pass enabled me to take 2 additional Guests with me when it was my turn to ride.

Since you already know your 4 year old and one adult will not be riding some of the rides for which you have FastPass+ selections, you should log in to your My Disney Experience account and modify those FastPass+ selections. Under the FastPass+ heading you will select the tab to "Update FastPass+" and be able to select and change only those individuals who want new selections, in this case your 4 year old and one of the adults. This way you will not "waste" a FastPass+ selection and can only divide up for the attractions in which your 4 year old will not be experiencing.

Have a Magical vacation and please let us know if you have any further questions!
