I have 5 children, ages 8, 6, 5, 4, and 2. Are there rides we are going to be able to do together, or are we going to need to split our family up for most of the day? Also, what are our best lodging and dining options?

Hi, Tiffany!  Assuming there are two adults, you count as a party of six, since the baby doesn't count in your numbers.  You will need either two resort rooms, one of the family suites at the brand new Art of Animation resort or Disney's All Star Music resort, a villa at a Disney Vacation Club property, or one of the Fort Wilderness Cabins.

The most affordable option is likely to be the family suites.  You will have a master bedroom with it's own television, then a living room with several fold out options that will accommodate another four people.  There are two full bathrooms, a second television in the living room, and a small kitchenette with a mini refrigerator and a microwave.

The cabins have a full kitchen, a deck, a grill, and sleeping for six.  There are lots of activities at the Fort that you might enjoy during down times from the theme parks, and it's a great option with kids.

The DVC option may be the most expensive, but you will have a full kitchen, a washer and dryer, a master bedroom with a jacuzzi tub in the bathroom, and in the units that accommodate six, you'll also have two bathrooms, an additional bedroom, and a fold out sofa.

You'll be pleasantly surprised to learn that many of the attractions are family friendly, and you can stay together much of the day.  There are a few things with height restrictions, but other than those (mostly roller coaster type rides), the attractions are really good for everyone.

As for dining, you might want to look into a dining plan.  It helps keep track of your food budget, and you can opt for a quick service plan all the way up to a deluxe plan!

    Have a wonderful vacation!
