    Gloria from CT Asked

If child to young to go on a ride and all adults have fast pass can the adults who stay with child while rest of group go on ride keep their same fast pass or do they need to get new one when the rest of group is back to stay with child

Hi, Gloria!  Thanks for bringing your question to the Disney Parks Moms Panel.

Your Walt Disney World Resort vacation is only a little over a week away; how exciting!  Two of my favorite Walt Disney World Resort events, Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party and the Epcot International Food & Wine Festival, will be taking place during your trip.  I hope you enjoy falling into the magic of an autumn visit to the Walt Disney World Resort.

It sounds like you have been getting ready for your Walt Disney World Resort visit by making FastPass+ selections for some of your must-do attractions.  I'm sure you will find that there are many attractions that your entire group can enjoy together.  However, if you have any little ones in your travel party who do not meet the height requirements or simply do not wish to experience certain attractions, you may want to make use of the Rider Switch Service.

If you have a child or children in your group who are too small for an attraction, you may speak to a Cast Member at the attraction entrance about using the Rider Switch Service.  The Cast Member will issue you a Rider Switch entitlement, and one adult can stay with the non-riding child while the rest of the party waits in the standby queue and experiences that attraction.  When the riders return, the waiting adult and up to two additional guests may then use the FastPass+ queue to access the attraction.  The Rider Switch Service eliminates the need to wait in the standby queue twice.

If you wish to use the Rider Switch Service along with FastPass+, you may certainly do so.  In this case, neither group of riders would need to wait in the standby queue.  Please keep in mind that to do this, all members of your party who wish to ride should have a valid FastPass+ for that attraction.  The waiting adult does not need to book a new FastPass+.  They will be using the FastPass+ that they originally selected, but using the Rider Switch Service will allow them to bring along up to two other guests when it is their turn to ride.

If we can help you with any other last-minute details as you prepare for your trip, please visit us again.  See ya real soon!
