how the child swat works at Disney with babies?

Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel, Melissa!

Rider Switch is going to be such a great tool on your upcoming vacation if you're traveling with a baby. The service allows you to be able to ride the attractions that you love that your little one can't ride yet without having to wait in the standby line multiple times.

Let's say you and your party would like to ride DINOSAUR at Disney's Animal Kingdom. You'll all approach the attraction podium and let a Cast Member know that you'd like to ride using Rider Switch. You'll split into two groups, and the first riding group will get in the line while someone stays behind with the baby. That person will then tap their MagicBand to receive a Rider Switch return time. When the first group is done riding, you can swap off who's watching the baby and return to the attraction at the appropriate time to enter through the FastPass+ queue and bypass the standby line. The Rider Switch return time entitlement is good for up to three guests, so you can bring along two people to ride with you, even if they were in that first riding group!

Rider Switch does work in conjunction with FastPass+ as well. If the first group wants to enter through the FastPass+ queue instead of waiting in the standby line, then everyone who intends to ride will need to have a valid FastPass+ for the attraction. This includes the second riding group that will be using the Rider Switch entitlement as well.

I hope this answers your question, Melissa, and please let us know if there's anything else we can do to help you plan your magical vacation!
