Hello, Meghin!
Thanks for bringing your great question to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! I think it's wonderful that you are continuing the tradition of making memories at the Walt Disney World Resort by bringing your young daughter for her first visit. I also have a six year old daughter, and she's especially easy to please at Walt Disney World. She always helps me pick our FastPass+ attractions before our vacations, and even plans out the characters that she must visit and the outfits she must wear for those special greetings. Having a little girl is great!
I recommend looking over the height requirements for each ride as you start to plan your FastPass+ selections. My six year old meets or exceeds the height requirements for most attractions at the Walt Disney World theme parks, but children do come in all sizes. It's best to be prepared to avoid any unnecessary disappointment when you try to check in at a FastPass+ attraction that your child may not be tall enough to experience. You can
view attractions online -- and even filter them by theme park, height and age interest -- to get a general idea of the attractions your daughter may enjoy when you visit.
If you're wanting to add a little extra pixie dust to your trip, you may be interested in Disney's Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique or a special character dining experience. Disney's Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique is where little girls go to be transformed into lovely princesses by their very own Fairy Godmother-in-training. Reservations for this experience are highly recommended, and can be made up to 180 days in advance.
I hope you and your family have a wonderful Walt Disney World vacation, Meghin! Please feel free to stop back by the Moms Panel if you have any additional questions. We'd love to hEAR from you!
