My child is 2 will be 3 in August what do I need to bring

    Greetings Jessy!

Thanks for bringing your question to the Disney Parks Moms Panel. Your toddler is going to have such a memorable and magical vacation at the Disneyland Resort. We have taken my son on a few trips to the Disneyland Resort as a two and three year old, and when we come home he can't stop talking about all the amazing experiences he had on our vacation. Even something as simple as the tiny toddler potties located in the Baby Care Centers were a delight.

If you child is under 3, they will not need a ticket for entrance, but children three years to nine years old do require a child ticket at the gate. You will not need to bring proof of age for children. In the parks, I like to wear a backpack so I can have my son's essentials close by. I bring plenty of diapers, wipes, a change of clothes, water bottle, sunscreen, hand sanitizer, and some small snacks. You may also want to bring your child a hat or sunglasses. Evenings and early mornings are sometimes chilly depending on the time of year, so I like to bring layers for him just in case. Since my son loves meeting Characters, we also carry our autograph book and a marker.

When it comes to walking in the parks, your little one is going to get tired out pretty easily with so much to see and do. I highly recommend bringing or renting a stroller. Convenient stroller parking is available near every attraction, but with so many strollers in the park, I recommend putting some kind of identifier on your stroller. We just tie simple ribbons on our stroller handle to easily spot ours in the stroller parking area.

I hope this was helpful. Feel free to stop by again if you need any more assistance, and have a magical day!
