Hi, is there a Child Activity Center that accommodates special needs children?

    Hello Jessica!

It is a pleasure to welcome you to the Disney Parks Moms Panel!

I am glad you are planning a visit with very special Guests. The Walt Disney World Resort does an amazing job at accommodating visitors with different disabilities. It might even be possible to request Disability Access Service (DAS) upon arriving at any of the theme parks. DAS can be used by Guests whose disability makes it difficult for them to wait in a regular line for an attraction.

The four Children’s Activity Centers located across the Walt Disney World Resort do accept children with special needs. I was informed by a Cast Member that when the parents drop the child off at an activity center, they talk to a specialist to discuss the child’s special needs. Please note that adults are not allowed to stay at the activity center, but they will contact you if needed. Reservations can be made at (407) 939-3463.

You can also consider in-room babysitting offered by Kid’s Nite Out. This independent childcare provider looks after kids in the comfort of their Disney Resort hotel room. You can contact them at (407) 828-0920, 8:00 AM to 9:00 PM, 7 days a week. Last time a special needs child from my family visited the Walt Disney World Resort, his mother decided that the Children’s Activity Centers would not be the best option for him. She was afraid he would feel nervous around so many different children, so she decided to hire the services of Kid’s Nite Out.

Always consider the children, their disability, and what you think would work best for your family.

I hope this helps you while planning!

    Best magical wishes,
