When checking into table service restaurants are MagicBand scanned for dinning reservation information? Or do I check in by telling my name and reservation time- like at a regular restaurant?

    Hi Kimberly!

Welcome back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel.  We're so happy that you're finding our advice helpful when planning your magical vacation.  My tumbly is rumbly just thinking about all the delicious dining options available for Guests to enjoy.  I hope you get to try out some of my favorite spots which include Tusker House and Be Our Guest Restaurant.

When you check into a restaurant where you have made Advanced Dining Reservations you will just need to let the Cast Member at the host stand know your name.   They will verify your reservation along with the number in your party, and will seat you as soon as they can.   You won't need to have your MagicBand scanned when you check in.  The only time your MagicBand will be used  at the dining location is if you pay for your meal using Disney Dining Plan credits , or you charge to your Disney Resort hotel account  This will be done by your server will a small machine they will bring to your table.

Thanks for stopping by once again Kimberly.  I hope you have a practically perfect vacation at the Most Magical Place on Earth.  Please visit us again with any additional questions you may have.

    Happy Disney Dining,

    ~Jen
