We are checking in on 11/9/15 Old Key West Resort but attending the Mickey Party on 11/8. If I buy Memory Maker separately and link it to my Magic Band, can I use it on the 8th of Nov while technically my vacation package will start on the 9th of Nov?

    Hello Maria Isabel!

We have used Memory Maker on several of our Disney vacations and now I won’t go without it! For me, a vacation is not just about getting away, but about spending time with my family, having fun and making memories!

Memory Maker is the perfect way to capture those moments all in one place. Memory Maker is not tied to your resort reservation. Even Guests who are staying off property can purchase it. What I recommend is that you purchase it in advance, directly from your My Disney Experience account. This automatically links it to your Magic Bands and account, so you’ll be ready to go as soon as you arrive at Walt Disney World. Pre-purchasing also gives you a nice discount! Be sure to purchase at least three days prior to adding your first photos and they will all be included in the discounted price.

I hope you are working on your costumes for Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party. Even adults dress up for this fun event. If you do choose to purchase Memory Maker, be sure to ask about special Magic Shots that may be available during the party. In the past, these have been in available near the Haunted Mansion, where some “happy haunts” just might hitchhike their way into your pictures. I can’t promise they’ll be available this year, but do be sure to ask!

Have a magical trip to the Walt Disney World Resort, and enjoy making those special family memories!
