We will be checking into the Animal Kingdom lodge on my son's 7th birthday. Is there a way to request assistance with setting up a small celebration, such as ordering a cake for his arrival?

Hot Diggity Dog, Maria! Your son is going to have the best 7th birthday at The Most Magical Place on Earth! I'd be happy to give you a few ideas for a pixie dusted celebration.

How surprised will your Mouseketeer be when he sees his that his pal, Mickey, has decorated your room at Disney's Animal Kingdom Lodge! The folks at Disney Floral & Gifts are the ones to call for a surprise in-room celebration. "Mickey's Grand Birthday Party" comes with everything you need for a party: cupcakes, Mickey Mouse krispy rice treats, balloons, and a pair of Mickey birthday ears.

If you'd like a more elaborate cake delivered to your room instead, you can call Disney's Animal Kingdom Lodge Private Dining at (407) 938-4720. They are known for their delicious giant Zebra Dome Birthday Cakes here, but you can also request a Mickey Mouse Celebration Dome Cake or a fancy, fondant-covered cake. Just make sure to give them at least 72 hours advance notice.

When my son celebrated his 11th birthday at Walt Disney World Resort, we had a Haunted Mansion inspired cake (he's a Halloween baby) delivered to his favorite restaurant as a surprise. Call the Cake Hotline at (407) 939-3463 for custom cake delivery to a participating Table Service restaurant. They can create some truly unique cakes with your son's favorite character or attraction. My sister-in-law was inspired by the DIS Boards' Cake Chatter Thread online when picking out my niece's Peter Pan birthday cake.

I hope your son has a special birthday in a few weeks, Maria!

Meet the Panelist: Eean, Pennsylvania

Hi, I'm Eean from Pennsylvania!  I may have an unusual name, but my passion for Disney is not unique.  It’s amazing how many people you can find who love talking about, "The Most Magical Place On Earth!"  I'm that mom who always has her ears perked at PTO meetings, in the grocery store aisle, or at middle school basketball games waiting for an opportunity to give someone a planning tip to help make their vacation even more magical.
