I have a check-in date of 12/19/15 at the All Star Music Resort. Will my tickets on my Magic Band be active prior to check-in that day? We were planning on arriving early to do Animal Kingdom that day, but realize Animal Kingdom close quite early.

Hello, Prince Phillip! That's so exciting, we have a trip planned for around the same time. I think that the holiday season is the most magical time to visit Walt Disney World. I just love seeing all of the festive holiday decorations and strolling down Main Street U.S.A looking at the beautiful Dream Lights on Cinderella Castle.

Yes, as soon as your tickets are linked to your My Disney Experience account they are active. If you are taking advantage of Disney's Magical Express, you will first be dropped off at your resort. It usually takes anywhere from 45-90 minutes to get from the Orlando International Airport to your resort, including the time it takes to wait for the bus to leave the airport. When I stayed at Disney's All-Star Music Resort last year there were two stops before our resort. The first stop was Disney's Coronado Springs Resort and the next was Disney's All-Star Sports. Your bus route may be slightly different depending on the guests on your bus and where they are staying. When you arrive you've got a few options, you could go check in at the front desk and go straight to the bus lot and hop in line for Animal Kingdom, or if you are using MagicBands you could also opt to bypass the front-desk and go straight to your room as soon as you arrive at Disney's All-Star Music Resort. If this option is available to you, you should receive an e-mail before arrival letting you know that direct to room check-in is available. If you are set up for skipping the front desk you could also just head straight to the bus lot for Animal Kingdom as soon as Disney's Magical Express drops you off. Either way, it's important to make sure that you've got check-in taken care of so that while you are off enjoying Animal Kingdom, you have a room ready for you and a place for your luggage to go.

I hope this helps, and if you need anything else come back and see us. Have a magical holiday vacation!
