chart with transport times between parks, just an estimate, helpful if you have dining reservations and need to know whether to use the Minnie Van or taxi...also, I understand no need for car seats on the resort anywhere or even to and from the airport,

    Hi Angela!

Thanks for stopping by with your excellent question. This is something that can be a bit of a struggle for those of us that like everything planned out perfectly. I like to have a spreadsheet timed down to the minute for vacations, but at Walt Disney World, I have learned to plan accordingly and “Let it Go!” Currently, Disney does not publish a specific chart of transportation times, but I have a few thoughts for you.

Remember that Disney bus transportation runs on an approximate every 20-minute schedule. Sometimes more, sometimes less, but that is a good approximation. If you are at a Walt Disney World Resort Hotel, you can now use the My Disney Experience Mobile App to see when the next bus is arriving! I recommend overestimating the time needed to travel. It is always better to arrive early than to feel stressed about being late. If I have a dining reservation, I always try to depart at least 60 to 90 minutes before my reservation to give myself plenty of time. While the distance between most parks and between resorts and parks is around 20 minutes, additional time should be anticipated to wait for transportation to arrive, walking time to your destination as well as getting into theme parks and through security. If you have a smartphone, most map applications allow you to enter two destinations to get an idea of travel time between them.

When using Disney transportation, you will not need to worry about using your car seat. A car seat is not needed on Disney’s Magical Express from the airport to your Resort Hotel, nor on the Monorail, boats or buses. If you choose to use Disney’s Minnie Van Service, each van is equipped with two car seats to keep your little one safe. If you will be renting a car, or using a taxi, children should be secured in a car seat according to Florida law.

I hope this helps! Please let me know if I can help you with any additional questions, Angela!

    Happy Planning!
