Do the character meet and greets that you have to schedule cost a fee? Or are they just scheduled because it's too chaotic with so many people? I haven't been to Disney in 26 years and things have changed a lot! Characters were all over the parks then.

Hi, Ranae! Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel.

I am so excited for you to be visiting the Walt Disney World Resort after so many years. Character meet and greets are available at each Walt Disney World Resort Theme Park at no additional charge to you. You simply must have valid Theme Park admission. You are able to use FastPass+ for some of the more popular character experiences. Schedules for each character appearance varies. Some are available all day while others are able to meet during specific periods of time during the day. For the most updated times, check your My Disney Experience app on your smartphone or pick up a Times Guide at the entrance of each Theme Park.

There are also character dining experiences available which would require the purchase of your meal. Character dining is wonderful, as you can usually meet several characters while you leisurely dine on some amazing dishes. These restaurants are extremely popular and fill up quickly. If you wish to enjoy any of these meals, be sure to make Advanced Dining Reservations at least 180 days in advance.

    Have a magical day, Ranae!

Meet the Panelist: Rachel, Wisconsin

Hi, I’m Rachel! I am a “boy mom” to two rowdy little men at home and married to my high school sweetheart. I am fortunate enough that my prince charming loves all things Disney just as much as I do! For me, planning a trip to Walt Disney World can be just as magical as being there. It brings our family together as we dream, plan, and count down the days. I would be honored to help plan your visit and share in your family’s very own magic! Learn More About Rachel
