Is Character Dining part of a Normal Reservation or do I have to make a Special Character Reservation? IE If I make a Normal Reservation for Breakfast at Ohana will the Characters be running around the Dining Room or do I have to make a Special Reservation

    Hi Twyla ~

Character meals are always a must do for my family!

That is an excellent question and it can be a little confusing. Some dining locations feature characters at all of the meals they serve throughout the day like The Crystal Palace and Chef Mickey's. You will typically find the same characters there at each of the meals.

Other locations, offer characters for breakfast but not during dinner like 'Ohana, Cape May Café and Hollywood & Vine. There are also places that offer character dining but the characters are different at breakfast and dinner such as 1900 Park Fare.

If you make a reservation for a dining location that offers characters during your reservation time, you will get to meet the characters and do not have to specifically request that you would like to meet them or make a special reservation. The characters will come around to every table to pose for pictures and sign autographs. They only visit tables one at a time so while there may be several characters in the dining room at once, they will all be at different tables. You will get a chance to meet all of the characters during your meal, but you won't be able to get multiple characters in the same picture.

The Best Friends Breakfast with Lilo and Stitch at 'Ohana is one of our favorites. It features Lilo, Stitch, Mickey and Pluto. There is also a photo opportunity just outside the restaurant after you check in that will include your whole family but no characters.

Please feel free to visit us with all of your planning questions. It is our pleasure to assist you!

Wishing you minnie magical memories :-) Allison V.
