What character dining experiences would you recommend for an 8 year old boy. He's not really into princesses. Thanks so much!

    Hi Lucia!

Thank you for visiting the Moms Panel!

My first recommendation for an eight-year-old boy would be Chef Mickey's at Disney's Contemporary Resort.  This is a lively, fun experience, and one that my family never misses when we are at Walt Disney World.  The characters you are likely to see here are Mickey, Minnie, Goofy, Pluto and Donald.  They will all visit your table for photos and to sign autographs and interact with your family.

Another experience that we enjoy is at The Crystal Palace in the Magic Kingdom park.  This is a lovely setting, in a huge conservatory, is available for breakfast, lunch and dinner and features Pooh, Eeyore, Tigger and Piglet.

The Garden Grill at Epcot is a dinner experience where you will meet Mickey, Pluto, Chip and Dale.  The dining room rotates very slowly, you can barely notice it, except that your scenery changes!

Also recommended is 'Ohana at Disney's Polynesian Resort, for breakfast.  Lilo, Stitch and other characters such as Pluto and Mickey will spend time with you in this tropical setting.

All dining reservations can be made online or by calling (407) 939 3463, up to 180 days in advance.

If you have any other questions, please come back and ask me - I would be happy to help you plan your magical vacation!
