Can we do a character dining experience without going into a park?

    Hi Michele,

Thank you so much for visiting the Disney Parks Moms Panel with your question! Character dining is a great way to meet characters without having to wait in a queue. I have great news for you! There are many locations for character dining outside of the theme parks at Walt Disney World!

This link will show you all of the character dining options at Walt Disney World. Each entry for a restaurant lists where it is located, so simply look for ones that are listed at resorts and not theme parks. You can also use the filter at the top that says "All Parks & Resorts" to get a drop-down menu to choose specific resorts. Let me share with you some of my favorite character dining locations at the Walt Disney World resort hotels.

I enjoy Cape May Cafe at Disney's Beach Club for Minnie's Beach Bash Breakfast. This fun breakfast features Minnie Mouse and her friends dressed up in their beach gear. I also enjoy the Best Friends Breakfast featuring Lilo & Stitch at 'Ohana at Disney's Polynesian Village Resort. This lovely breakfast is served family-style. Finally, for all-day dining with Mickey Mouse and his friends in their chef gear, you cannot go wrong with Chef Mickey's at Disney's Contemporary Resort. Please do note that all character appearances are subject to change.

I hope that this information is helpful for you, Michele! Have a great time planning your magical vacation, and please do let us know if you have any further questions.
