What is a Character break/lunch? I see you will be busy getting everyones buffet. So what exactly are the characters doing? Would this be a not miss event. Thanks

Hi Cynthia.   Whether this is a "not miss" event I believe very much depends upon you family situation and budgetary constraints.    At the Character breakfast and lunches, you will find a number of Disney characters who will visit each table for personal interaction with your family, including photographs and signatures.   This allows your family the opportunity to get pictures with a number of characters without having to hunt them down while in the park.

As you indicate, a number of these meals are buffet style but there are versions where a selection of food is served table-side.    Even if you are attending a buffet version, you likely won't risk being away when the characters are visiting your section.  First, you will see when a character is about to visit and worst case, let your server know and that Character will circle back afterwards.

Assuming you can fit a character meal into your schedule and budget, I think this is a neat experience for first-time visitors with children.  Plus, I find the food to be very good.   One of the more popular character meals is at Chef Mickey's, where you will find Mickey, Minnie, Goofy and a number of other characters.   My family has enjoyed this a few times and is one of many fine choices to consider.
