I am chaperoning our high school Track Spring Training trip in April. The students in the rooms are under the age of 18. They are unable to request Fast Passes because of their age. How do I over ride this so they can start planning before our arrival?

    Welcome, James!

Thanks for stopping by with your question about traveling with a group of teens to Walt Disney World Resort. I'm a staunch believer in the notion that you're never too old to embrace the magic of Disney. I have been taking high school seniors to Walt Disney World Resort every year since 2011 and now I have a teenager of my own at home. There's so much for your school's athletes to enjoy at the ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex (and beyond) this April.

While the process of making FastPass+ reservations for your group of students can be a bit complex, it most certainly can be accomplished. You'll need to gather the following in order to make this work: Disney room reservation numbers, a theme park ticket number for each student, and a roster of people for whom you'll be planning.

There are two ways you can do this. Either link everyone to your personal My Disney Experience account or create an entirely new account for your group. I typically link all of my students to my personal account and then delete them after the trip has concluded. However, if you're dealing with a large number of students (more than 30), I suggest you follow the instructions laid out by the Disney Youth Office for managing groups. The key is to block out several hours of uninterrupted time to schedule the FastPass+ reservations for your group. You don't want to get interrupted in the middle of the process. If you feel it's simply too much to do in one sitting, tackle one day's worth of reservations at a time. Then do the others in the days that follow. The key is to get in as soon as your FastPass+ reservation window opens (60 days in advance of your stay for Disney Resort hotel guests).

Wishing you luck with your plans,
    Jill
