What are the chances of getting top attraction fast passes less than 30 days prior to arrival? I've had to wait to order my Military Salute ticket. Thanks!

Hi there Rochelle! Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel. We're so glad you've brought your vacation planning question to us.

First of all, many thanks to your family for their service to our country. We appreciate you! You must be so excited for your upcoming adventure to the Most Magical Place on Earth; it's almost time for the magic and memories to begin!

Rochelle, I have made quite a few last minute trips to Walt Disney World since the onset of advance FastPass+ reservations, and I am always able to experience my must-do attractions. I am happy to offer you a few tried and true strategies.

First, as soon as you are able link your tickets to My Disney Experience, begin selecting your allotted three FastPass+ experiences. Check back frequently for possible modifications if there were any preferred attractions you could not reserve. Guests' plans change all the time, and you never know when you'll be able to snag that coveted Avatar Flight of Passage spot.

Once you are in the park and have used your previously booked FastPass+ reservations, you are eligible to select more experiences one at a time. I have been fortunate enough to reserve popular attractions, including Frozen Ever After and Soarin' Around the World just a few hours before riding. Keep checking the My Disney Experience app; as guests' itineraries change, so does FastPass+ availability.

Finally, and my most important tip to any friend planning a Walt Disney World vacation: arrive early to the theme parks and experience your highest priority attractions within the first hour of park opening. If you aren't a morning person, visiting popular attractions during the last hour of park operation or immediately following an afternoon rain storm is another effective way to avoid long lines.

I hope this gives you some ideas as you finalize your itinerary for your upcoming adventure to the Most Magical Place on Earth. While experiencing the incredible, unique attractions in the Disney theme parks is the reason we plan our trips, I often find that my most memorable vacation moments occur when my family is simply spending time together, enjoying the atmosphere of the theme parks and resorts.

    See ya real soon!
