I have celiac disease. In your opinion, what are some of the best gluten free snacks in each of the four parks. I'm looking for something different than fruit and ice cream. I am on the dining plan. Thank you for your help.

    Tonya:

I think you'll find that Disney is in tune to the dietary restrictions of its guests and offer lots of yummy choices. Let me recommend that one of your first stops be to the Gardens Kiosk at Animal Kingdom. This oasis for food allergy sufferers not only offers gluten-free snacks like cookies, granola bars, hummus and, at one time, gluten-free beer, it also provides you with information on other places in the parks to indulge without worry.

At Epcot, check out Sunshine Seasons. Here, you'll find caramel popcorn that is both gluten-free and nut-free along with chocolate chip and apple cookies. At one time, they had their own version of gummy bears.

The Main Street Bakery at the Magic Kingdom carries many pre-packaged snacks similar to Sunshine Seasons. Additionally, many of the counter-service restaurants in the park offer Enjoy Life's chocolate chip cookies. Another favorite stop of mine for healthful options is the outside market in Liberty Square.

At Hollywood Studios, Studio Catering and Backlot Express both offer the pre-packaged gluten-free snacks like cookies and brownies. But don't miss grabbing an Edy's Strawberry Bar or frozen banana at one of the ice-cream carts around the park for a refreshing treat.

    Wishing y'all a magical vacation!

My family of 6 appreciates Disney's value! Although Ft. Wilderness is our second home, we've enjoyed the resorts for business, reunions and romantic getaways. For me, Disney also means dining: last count, I'd eaten at 55 restaurants around the World! Learn More About Whitney
