Hi, we are celebrating our princess's 3rd birthday in September. She will turn 3 after we arrive. Will she need a ticket after she turns 3? If not, Will we have to show ID for her since she will be so close to three? Thanks,

    Hi John,

The Walt Disney World Resort is the most fabulous place to turn 3 or 103! Regardless, nobody really ever ages there. For your little princess, it will be based on her age upon arrival. If she is 2 years old when you check-in and then she turns 3 during your stay, you will not have to purchase her tickets for the duration of the trip. As long as she is 2 year old the first day she visits one of the Disney Parks, then she will not need admission tickets to enter the parks for the remainder of your vacation.

Disney does not require you to produce proof of age for children less than 3 years of age. If your little princess is tall for her age, feel free to make a copy of her birth certificate and bring it with you. However, I doubt you will be asked to provide this information for proof of age.

On a related topic, since she'll still be considered under age 3 during this trip, you will not need to book her FastPass+ for any of the attractions offering this convenient service. She may simply accompany you in the FastPass+ queue when you are ready to redeem any FastPass+ selections.

Your little princess may eat for free at any Buffet/Family Style restaurant. She can share a plate with mom or dad, or even get her own little plate. These Disney restaurants are all wonderful, but if I had to pick just one, I would recommend Chef Mickey's. Also, consider ordering one of the fabulous birthday Cakes at Walt Disney World Resort.

Please come back soon with more questions, John. We'll be glad to help you discover the true Power of Magic!
